As always, I am thankful, but at the moment, I'm extremely offended. I understand that people are curious as to what goes on in our temples, and that's okay. I was curious too. And I'm also aware that there are ways of finding out what goes on in our temples with minimal research. I don't understand, however, why a major television show, ignorant of the subject's sensitivity or the feelings of those it represents, would splash those temple ceremonies across major television. Is nothing sacred in the world any more? Curiosity is one thing, disregard for something like the temple ceremony is another. I just picked up a copy of TV guide and was very shocked at what I found inside. HBO plans to air parts of our sacred ceremonies on their mass-produced tv show for the world to see. Tell me something- if you had a young daughter that you treasured, would you put her naked on a major tv show? That's what I want to ask the people who produced, directed, and starred in this show. I have to reassure myself by saying that they simply don't understand what it is that they're mocking, but I don't think they are unaware of the fact that this is extremely offensive to ALL LDS people. And I know in my heart that they simply don't care.
I am very thankful for the temple. Despite what tiny-minded people like those on HBO will say, they cannot reproduce the experience that one goes through when they are worthy and ready to make those covenants. I feel sorry for those who never will experience that because in my own exerience, there is nothing closer to Heaven on earth. I am grateful to those people who DO keep things sacred, even if it's not sacred to them. And for all my Latter-Day-Saint brothers and sisters, we really need to stand up to this!

Thankful Thursday
I'm thankful today that my sis got on her now-repaired computer and uploaded some pics of the little rugrats! Debuting here for the first time:
